Meet Mandi

Meet the Designer
Mandi is a creative and outgoing woman whose greatest nightmare is bookkeeping. (being creative means that other half of her brain does not work!) She is most proud of her family, her jewelry and the beautiful life she she and her husband have made. She speaks three languages, English, Spanish, and Sarcasm. She finds it really challenging to have her workshop in her home, because then she is at work all the time. That, and it is usually really noisy once the kids get home because she loves having her house full of their friends.

Mandi is now training for her third half-marathon this spring. She hates to run and yells at herself every time she laces up her shoes. Her training shirt has a turtle on it because she is the slowest runner in the history of the world. She likes to say "slow is the new fast!". (maybe she will make a pendant that says that...hummm.) While searching for a pendant to commemorate her first run, Mandi realized there was nothing out there she would be proud to wear. Thus, the birth of Hold On Girls! jewelry.

About the name, Hold On Girls!... a few years ago, Mandi and her two sisters, Paige (older) and Casey (younger), were in the car with Mom driving. Waiting to cross a usually busy intersection, with no cars in sight, Mom yells out "Hold On Girls!" and sets out into the intersection. slooooowwwly. (Mandi could actually run faster-hah!) Well, the sisters were braced for speed so they thought it was hilarious. Now, whenever they are all together and the situation deserves it, someone will yell out "Hold On Girls!"

**Update to this story** here is a video shot by my niece in May 2011 that gives real-life proof as to why my company is called Hold On Girls!
